Six Months Later…

Posted in: Adventure, Life

Crazy – it’s hard to believe it’s been over six months since my last post! I thought it was about time to reconnect and share what’s been going on. Life has been busy, but in a good way. Here’s a quick update on where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to.

1. Tidy Design Milestones

Tidy Design, my core business, has been incredibly busy with new projects. We celebrated over 18 years of trading this year, which has been a huge milestone. It’s been awesome working on a variety of new projects in 2025, with Team Tidy doing amazing work!

2. Promoting “Pompey Poems”

I’ve also been focused on promoting my new book, Pompey Poems. It’s been a great journey so far, and I’ve enjoyed sharing my poetry inspired by Portsmouth and its landmarks. The feedback has been fantastic, and I’m looking forward to doing more with it in the future.

3. Fitness and Well-being

Most mornings, I’ve been hitting the gym. Staying active has been a key part of my routine lately, and I’ve felt the positive impact it’s had on my mental and physical well-being. It’s become one of my favourite ways to start the day.

4. Mini Breaks and Adventures

I’ve taken several mini breaks to recharge, with the most recent being a trip to Devon. Hiking around Dartmoor National Park was incredible – the landscapes were breathtaking! I particularly loved Haytor Rocks (photo above), these little getaways are great for unwinding and sparking new ideas.

5. Experimenting with AI and Tech

On the tech front, I’ve been experimenting with AI and some new technologies. It’s an exciting space, and I’ve been learning how it can support both my creative and business work. The possibilities seem endless, and I’m eager to see where it all leads.

6. Personal Development

Alongside work and creativity, I’ve also been investing time in personal development. Whether it’s learning new skills, reading motivational quotes, or simply reflecting on personal growth, it’s important to make time for this amongst everything else.

7. Family Time

One of the highlights of the past few months was camping in the New Forest. It was a wonderful time for bonding, enjoying the great outdoors, connecting with Mother Nature, and appreciating the peace that comes with stepping away from everyday life. These moments reminded me of the importance of unplugging, recharging, and spending quality time with loved ones.

Conclusion…

Life can sometimes slow us down, and it’s important to be kinder to ourselves during those times. It’s okay to fail or lose momentum with a blog. I read somewhere “if you’re not failing, you’re not pushing yourself”. So, if you feel like you’ve lost momentum, remember it’s part of the process. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about moving forward and being true to yourself. Every challenge is part of the journey, and it’s through those moments that we grow.

I’m excited to be back blogging and sharing projects and experiences with you. Blogging is more than just a way to share my work – it’s a chance for reflection and connection.
